As we countdown to the ASAP Convention in December  with less than ONE WEEK before early bird ticket sales come to an end (saving up to £324 per ticket), we return to this new series of ASAP Convention Session Spotlights where we will be looking in closer detail at one of the sessions taking place over this two day event.

Day 1: Session 1: Data Trends, Growth & Opportunities in the Sector  – State of the Nation

This key session at the 2019 Convention will bring together two key partners of ASAP Savills and STR.  The session will consider the ‘state of the nation’, a review of the past 12 months and what future opportunities there are for the serviced apartment sector, highlighting key areas of growth and change. The session will also review the 2019 ASAP & Savills Sentiment surveys, what the industry is feeling and what is on the cards in terms of opportunities, changes and predicted growth

We are delighted to be welcoming Marie Hickey, Director Commercial Research from Savills.  Marie heads up the Savills Hospitality and Retail research team in the UK and has close to 15 years of experience. Her focus is understanding wider global drivers and consumer trends in order to assess what this means for occupational and investment markets across Europe and other key destination markets globally. Her approach is always forward looking in terms of the opportunities and potential challenges shaping the evolving hospitality and retail landscape. Marie has had a special interest in the Serviced Apartment market both in the UK and globally, being a lead commentator on the sector since 2005.

Marie comments, “Looking forward to another ASAP conference. Always insightful and entertaining event to meet and discuss with operators and suppliers to see how the sector is evolving and identifying potential shared challenges and how these can be tackled at an industry level..”

Michal Rao, Business Development Manager for UK and Ireland from STR will also be speaking within the session, highlighting key data trends, changes in the sector and what the future holds.

Michal Comments “STR has been supporting the serviced apartments industry for several years and partnership with the ASAP has been to reach the industry, inform & educate the operators about the power & results benchmarking can bring. We are committed to continuing to support the sector with even more detailed reporting, enabling the operators to drive results for the industry.”
