Airbnb is to partner with Newgard Development Group to open another, 48-storey, Natiivo tower in Miami offering 412 apartments and 192 hotel rooms to be listed and rented via the platform.
It claims to be the first property to be designed specifically for home-sharing. with Airbnb-branded towers also rising in Miami, Austin, Nashville and Orlando.
Airbnb has been moving towards becoming a regular hotel platform since the spike in demand in 2018 when it opened to listings from boutique hotels. It also bought HotelTonight app for last-minute bookings this year, and this week invested in corporate housing provider Zeus.
