Following the previous opening in Florida in partnership with Niido, Airbnb has announced another almost-hotel, this time an existing 328-unit building in Nashville, Tennessee, and will lease apartments to a hybrid of long-term renters and short-term visitors.

Niido bought the building last week, and under its ownership, current residents will be encouraged to sublet to Airbnb guests for up to 180 days per year, with Airbnb and Niido sharing 25% of income generated.

The “Niido Powered by Airbnb” concept is expected to roll out across as many as 14 Airbnb-branded complexes by the end of 2019.

Existing residents are not always enthusiastic about the project.
