Accor Hotels is to franchise 15 budget hotels in Singapore, in direct competition to Oyo Hotels & Homes.

The Fragrance Hotels would be a good target for Oyo but they will undergo enhancements in line with Accor’s brand, with 13 becoming Ibis Budget and the remaining two Mercure and Ibis Styles.

Accor’s Singapore portfolio will then total 30 hotels and 7,625 rooms, while Oyo aims to add two million rooms in Southeast Asia by 2025.
