AccorHotels has signed agreements with a number of international investors to sell a majority of capital in its portfolio of 891 hotels under the recently-separated AccorInvest for €4.4 billion.


Accor would continue to operate the AccorInvest hotels under long-term contracts, averaging 50 years for luxury/upscale, and 30 for economy/midscale which make up the majority across Europe.

The transaction will be submitted to shareholders for consultation and is expected to be formalised this spring.
