Accor is the second major accommodation provider to all slash rent for its private landlords, after revenues plunged as much as 95% at some of its hotels and serviced apartments over the past three months.

The Paris-based hotel giant has written to its landlords to say it would pay them only 20% for the next six months, starting in May – full rents were paid in April.

40% of the unpaid rent will be waived while 40% will be deferred and paid over the term of the lease.
