A MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) poll of 27,000 people who were asked to rate firms on their handling of coronavirus issues, shows clear differences between how firms treat their customers.

Those receiving more than 100 reactions were filtered into a 53-place ranking. Travel Counsellors were top, followed by Hays Travel and Airbnb, while travel agent Travel Trolley, TravelUp and Teletext Holidays were the bottom three. Ryanair was in 47th place.

The table ranks firms by the number of ‘great’ votes minus the number of ‘poor’ votes, disregarding ‘OK’ votes.

MSE will be reporting these findings to the Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Competition and Markets Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority.

Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert.com, said that people weren’t marking simply on whether they got a refund but how easy it was to communicate with companies and whether the cash refund/credit voucher issue was handles.

Out of the 53 companies rated, only 17 were net positive.
