A study amongst its members by by HOSPA has found that over a quarter of hotel operators in the UK have remained open in some capacity to help the NHS and other key workers during the Coronavirus pandemic, and that even while shut, the majority of hotels still have at least some staff who remaining on-site.

In addition to helping the NHS, 9% have offered rooms or support to the homeless, and only two-thirds of hotels have furloughed more than 50% of their staff.
