According to guest feedback management provider Revinate’s analysis of 132 million online guest reviews over the last two years, the UK is among the top 3 countries for receiving the worst average hotel review scores.

Hotels in China, Greece and Mexico received the highest average ratings, while the UK, the US and France received the lowest. Data shows that the overall sentiment towards Asian and Latin American hotels is improving faster than anywhere.

In 2017, 74% of all reviews in 2017 came from Booking.com, Google, TripAdvisor and Facebook, guests wrote 27% more reviews than the year before, and hoteliers responded to 30% of them.
