Forward bookings for travel to the UK in the summer remain healthy despite a series of terrorist attacks in London and Manchester, with advance bookings in London in July and August 12% higher than the same time last year.

Airlines and hoteliers reported huge numbers of tourists drawn to the UK post-Brexit with the fall in the value of the pound. But although bookings fell immediately after the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks, and also after the Manchester concert bombing, the industry remains optimistic as there is traditionally a short-lived drop-off following such incidents.
