The company will introduce a dedicated mobile app, UberEats, for customers in nine major cities that will let users order lunch and dinner from local restaurants and have the food delivered by an Uber driver.

Uber will estimate the amount of time a food order will take to prepare, and then locate a nearby driver to pick it up when it’s predicted to be ready rather than sending drivers from a standing start or having them wait around for orders. The delivery price will vary depending on the city.
