Two travel websites have featured in the list of the most popular websites in the world, released this week as part of an overhaul of global online rankings, which combines mobile and desktop traffic for the first time.

TripAdvisor.com has risen from 188th to 170th and Booking.com is 77th. Within some parts of the travel industry, mobile growth year-on-year has reached levels of 12.8% for hotels, 12.5% for OTAs and 5.4% for cruise brands.
