According to the latest Customer Engagement: Travel report, travellers favour established brands and online travel booking sites, with Thomson most mentioned as favourite travel brand followed by Booking.com and Thomas Cook.

Consumers mentioned over 70 different brands, naming value for money, convenience and good customer service of most importance along with loyalty or rewards schemes and technology including booking chatbots and receiving mobile alerts.

More than half of respondents were interested in using augmented reality and/or virtual reality headsets to preview attractions and accommodation.
