City centre hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen all recorded occupancy growth in November, with 80.8% occupancy in Edinburgh, 0.3% higher than the same month last year.

Average room rate (ARR) in Edinburgh also increased despite an extra 800 new rooms and the strength of the sharing economy, from £84.75 in November last year to £100.76. RevPAR grew nearly 20%.

Glasgow’s November occupancy was up 1.1% on last year, but rooms were sold for 1.6% less than last year, while, in Aberdeen occupancy grew to 70% in the city – 1.5% higher than the same time last year – but average room rates fell 14.6%.
