Ryanair customers will soon be able to use their voices to search for and book flights and hotels as the budget airline introduces Alexa voice recognition as part of its ‘Always Getting Better’ customer experience programme.

Initially it will only be available when booking online but will be rolled out to the MyRyanair app, which has been downloaded 24 million times, while a chatbot will be introduced soon to provide customer service.

Future initiatives adding to the plan to become the ‘Amazon of airlines’ include a ‘Get me home’ feature on the app and slimline seats offering more leg room.
