Plans for a £10 million riverside aparthotel have been submitted to City of York Council in response to Environment Agency concerns about flood risks, and other fears about the scale of the building.

Applicants Roomzzz may need to make a financial contribution towards a flood wall and storage, and to reduce the building’s height.

If approved, this will form the second large aparthotel in York, joining the 197-apartment (ASAP member) Staycity complex next to the Barbican Centre.
