Almost 532,000 UK visitor visas were issued last year to Chinese residents, outperforming the Eurozone for the first time, and around 25% of tax-free shopping in London’s West End was found to be by Chinese tourists.

The UK China Visa Alliance is building further on this opportunity to attract Chinese visitors, especially in light of Britain’s exit from the EU, and as part of this is changing its name to the UK China Visitors Alliance, partnering with VisitBritain to launch a Chinese Visitors Working Group focusing on the whole UK hospitality experience.
