MetroResidences, an 18-month old Singapore-based platform which helps individuals rent out their apartments to corporate travellers via its online website, has raised S$1 million seed funding. This was led by global venture capital seed fund and startup accelerator 500 Startups and will help fund expansion.

The team behind MetroResidences ran the Asia-focused version of Airbnb, PandaBed, for the last two years. To date MetroResidences claims to have housed over 100 multinational companies and 200 small to medium enterprises, totalling over 10,000 apartment nights booked across more than 200 high quality furnished apartments within its inventory of homes.
