According to the new GBTA Business Traveler Sentiment Index Global Report, 44% of 3,500 business travelers in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia said their company had a policy that did allow travelers to use ride sharing such as Uber and Lyft.

However they were generally less accommodating when it came to lodging, as only 28% said their travel policy allowed them to use home-sharing options such as Airbnb and more than 20% weren’t sure what their employers allowed when it comes to the sharing economy.

Many employers have legitimate concerns about regulations, licenses, and liability, but do like the idea of potential cost savings and new travel solutions.
