More British holidaymakers are opting to join the staycation trend this year, coinciding with a surge in overseas tourists taking advantage of Sterling’s current weakness against other currency.

The Great Britain Tourism Survey highlighted that London’s 2.8 million visitors between January and March 2016 spent £657 million and occupied 6.5million bed nights – an increase of 27% on the same period in 2015.

Furthermore, according to data specialists STR, serviced apartments have become the most popular accommodation choice across the UK this year to date.
