Boris Johnson has approved the plans for regeneration of land including an old gasworks site on the Greenwich Peninsula, the city’s largest such project, which will see the creation of over 12,600 homes, retail developments, businesses, hotels, schools, a film studio, open space and other attractions – and 220 serviced apartments.

This runs alongside other projects across East London which between them aim to produce over 200,000 homes over the next two decades, a combination of affordable and rented properties, and which will bring jobs, tourism and prosperity to the east of the capital.
