This article references discussion by Dutch-based firms challenging the status quo – The Student Hotel, fusing luxury, long-stay student accommodation with short-stay facilities, Zoku’s hybrid loft-living and socialising spaces, and HCRE’s healthcare real estate development for primary healthcare medical offices and small-scale senior housing, as well as how big chains like Intercontinental and Starwood have not fully committed to the concept.
