International travelers to the US in February 2017 spent $21 billion, 3% more than the same month last year, making the spend in January and February the strongest for foreign tourism spending on record.

In February, foreign visitors spent over $13 billion on food, accommodation, activities, local transportation and souvenirs, as well as $3.3 billion on airfares.

February was the first full month following President Trump’s executive order that originally banned citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US.
