After the Conservative party failed to win an overall majority and in light of uncertainty around Brexit negotiations, Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association, has said that continued political uncertainty is bad for the economy and the last thing the hospitality and tourism industry needs, but that the BHA will work with whatever government emerges.

A further fall in the value of sterling could mean higher prices for many catering staples, although makes the uK more attractive to overseas visitors.
