Job search site Joblift has found that hotels are the largest employers in the hospitality job sector with 77% of all job vacancies in the last 12 months being hotel-based, with chefs accounting for 22% of all job listings, followed by receptionists with 5%, and restaurant managers third with 3%.

Joblift also found that 20% of the 335,131 UK tourism vacancies in the last 12 months have been for jobs in the luxury sector, an average monthly increase of 13% compared with a 2% increase across the tourism sector as a whole.

London vacancies took a 29% share of all tourism jobs posted with Manchester second with 4%, and Birmingham 3%. Northern Ireland has seen the highest average increase with an 11% average monthly growth.
