Expedia data has revealed UK hoteliers enjoyed an a significant rise in hotel demand by international visitors to the UK between April and June, with demand in London up almost 30% and several other UK destinations showing encouraging signs of growth.

The number of travellers from Brazil and Switzerland rose almost 140% each, Mexico by nearly 85%, Hong Kong by nearly 80% and Iceland by more than 60%. USA visitor numbers rose almost 40%).

Domestic travellers booked stays within less than 30 days, while those from Australia (70 days), Austria (74 days), New Zealand (67 days) and Germany (63 days) booked the farthest in advance.
