A survey British Hospitality Association (BHA) among leaders of major hospitality chains has found that the main economic challenge facing the UK is consumer confidence, with the EU Referendum and recent terrorist attacks continuing to knock consumer confidence.

Some 74% of bosses involved in the study said they would vote to remain in the EU, with 18% wanting to leave and the remaining 8% undecided.

Another issue is the industry’s relations with government, especially over non-consultation on the National Minimum Wage.
