Hilton’s senior vice president and managing director for UK and Ireland has said Britain is experiencing a “golden age of travel” bolstered by the collapse of sterling in the wake of the Brexit vote.

Hilton plans to build 34 new hotels across the country over the next two years, following 11 already opened in the UK this year, including those at Stansted Airport, in Aberdeen and at the Emirates Old Trafford stadium in Manchester. It is also investing in digital technology including apps and digital check-in and virtual key.
