Western Europe’s business travel spending is projected to increase by 6.3% in 2016 and 6.8% in 2017.

The new GBTA BTI™ Outlook – Western Europe report shows that business travel trends in the five largest business travel markets in Europe, ie Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain, demonstrate that Western Europe’s business travel confidence and demand is growing.

Even in the face of challenges such as the Greek debt crisis, the influx of Syrian refugees, terrorist attacks in several European capitals, and the pending UK referendum which may affect open travel to and through the UK, the business travel market has grown across both northern and southern Europe. This article discusses forecasts country by country across those five markets which between them make up 70 percent of Western Europe’s business travel market.
