Research from the Local Government Association is predicting that English tourism could grow by 2.9% each year for the next ten years, outstripping growth in the economy as a whole which is precdited at 2.5%.

Tourism supports 9.5% of the nation’s jobs, and areas such as Plymouth, Liverpool and Staffordshire are set to benefit if government exploits opportunities especially in infrastructure, skills and business support to maximise the tourist pound and economic growth.
