ASAP is sure we speak for our members and everyone in the hospitality industry in deploring the terrorist attack in Manchester on Monday night, and our thoughts are of course with everyone affected, the families and friends of the victims and those assisting at the scene.

Those in hospitality, in common with every public-facing industry, need to be extra-alert to potential danger now the UK’s terror threat level has been raised to Critical in the face of likely imminent attack.

There are guidelines for hospitality businesses prepared by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NCTSO) of special relevance to our serviced apartment and aparthotel sector, and we recommend that members acquaint themselves of the latest version.

We can only reiterate our shock at these events, and urge everyone in the sector to stay aware and safe.
