In the first of a new-style public consultation forum hosted by Cornwall Council, a Truro-based developer has unveiled plans to build a new aparthotel, leisure facilities and 96 holiday villas on the site of a former campsite in Carbis Bay, expected to create up to 200 full-time equivalent jobs.

The meeting heard how the scheme would be restricted to holiday accommodation, will not be excessively high-rise, and is part of a plan to invest £25 million to develop further work already part-completed on the site.
