Hilton and American Express recently hosted an invite-only panel discussion on 2018 business travel trends, during which subjects were raised including that, by 2020, there are going to be 483 million domestic business trips, as well as the rise of combined business and leisure.

67% of business travellers say that when they go to a destination what they enjoy most is cultural experiences and having some kind of authenticity in what they do. They also want frictionless, effortless travel such as the use of digital keys and travellers’ own technology, and apps knowing their preferences and enabling them to finish watching what they were watching on the plane.
