According to the GBTA BTI™ Outlook – Western Europe report, the Eurozone may have been surprised by the outcome of the June Brexit referendum, but markets have snapped back after an initial slide.

However, Brexit’s potential challenges for business travel across Europe include waves of uncertainty as trade and immigration negotiations begin; travel pricing after the end of open skies for European air carriers; the likelihood of new UK visa requirements; the impact on free movement of people and money throughout the EU, which brought many advantages for business travel.

The report looks at the five largest business travel markets in Europe – Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain – as indicators for the European business travel market more broadly.
