Following the triggering of Article 50, the British Hospitality Association has set out a 10-year strategy to reduce hospitality’s reliance on EU workers post-Brexit.

The BHA recommends that the gap could be filled by a mix of the unemployed, returners to the labour market such as older people, and the next generation.

A KPMG report commissioned by the BHA has stated that if EU migration fell to zero from 2019, the labour shortfall 10 years after Brexit would be one million.
