Singaporean Banyan Tree plans to introduce its hip new Cassia-branded hotel and serviced apartment complexes, designed for younger travellers and families, to Australia’s east coast hotel sector – ideally in Sydney. This follows an opening in Phuket, with more planned in Indonesia, China and Sri Lanka.

A recent global hospitality report has identified Australia as a top destination for investment in the hospitality and leisure sector along with China, India, the US and Britain.
