Airbnb has launched a new check-in tool on its mobile app allowing hosts to put together a step-by-step guide on what guests need to know to check-in, such as entry codes, which once compiled once will be accessible to all future guests – even when offline.

This may be of less interest to multi-property professional hosts – Airbnb has an estimated 1 million professionally managed listings out of a total of more than 3 million, and vacation rental management companies may find it a headache to have to manage a check-in process through Airbnb’s app, and a separate one through another platform such as HomeAway’s app, and a third for people who book directly.
