Accor, which is Australia’s biggest hotel operator, is taking Airbnb and the unregulated sharing economy sector with launching its luxury private rental business onefinestay in Australia and New Zealand.

Offering more than 10,000 top-end homes, penthouse apartments, beachside villas and country mansions worldwide, onefinestay will be launched initially in Sydney, Queensland and Melbourne before being rolled out nationwide.

The launch comes as Airbnb exceeds 141,000 listings in Australia, and will provide an alternative way for wealthy property owners to rent out their villas and penthouses with the surety for guests such as concierge and customer services.
