For the past several years, the Paris hotel market has offered beautiful, high end hotels and smaller, cheaper, budget options that are affordable but with terrible decor, while Airbnb filled the gap having grown to around 65,000 listings in Paris today.

Now a new breed of detail oriented, affordable hotels is creating a mini hospitality renaissance in the city, beyond the boutique hotel cliche into something that squeezes incredible design details out of a value-minded budget.

One such is the Hotel Paradis with design by global hospitality design specialist Dorothee Meilichzon and rooms at around €120 a night, offering beautiful fixtures, elegant lighting and intentionally limited in-room technology.
