Hoteliers are experimenting with facial recognition software, voice-activated controls, wearable devices, virtual reality, keyless entry via smartphones and sensors that detect whether a room is occupied and automatically adjust lights and thermostats.

The six in focus here are 5G connections, the Internet of Things to work thermostats, lightbulbs, and appliances, Artificial Intelligence, voice search, virtual reality, to allow guests to “experience” a room before they make a reservation and increased data and cybersecrity.
