A new 69-room five-star hotel has opened for business in Queenstown, the first large hotel built for about a decade, with a further 2,700 rooms and serviced apartments proposed or under construction in the resort.

 

These include a 162-room hotel as, part of the Lakeview zone, a $60 million, five- to six-star, 68-room hotel, a large hotel and serviced apartment complex and 19 two-key apartment suites.

 

Central Queenstown’s last new visitor accommodation, Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel, opened 10 years ago this month while Hilton opened in 2011 and Ramada Hotel last year in the wider region.
